A group of doctors recently completed a study which measured the relationship between protein and brain power. Dr. Nick Riviera of the Dietary Health Research Institute believes that one day his research will help explain why protein and brain power are often related.

"There are a growing number of people out there that eat foods rich in protein," says Dr. Riviera, "many of whom are very smart. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to see the coincidence."

However, not everyone is as omptimistic about protein and brain power. Another dietary scientist, Dr. Julius Hibbert of the Three Plains Medical Clinic, begs to differ.

"Dr. Riviera clearly has no evidence to back up his claims that protein and brain power are related. In fact, I think that high protein diet he talks so much about has actually made him dumber."

Whatever the case may be, it's important to remember that as part of any healthy diet, protein and brain power are both useful, but not required.
