If you would like to start eating more protien in your healthy diet, a good way to start is by creating a list of protien food that you actually enjoy eating. Sometimes people get stuck eating food they don't like just because they are on a diet, and this is actually the main reason why some diets don't last very long. However, by creating a list of protien food that you personally enjoy eating, you are setting yourself up for success.

The following is a list of protien foods sorted in descending order of protein-density:

  • egg whites
  • soy protein
  • whey protein
  • game meat:
    • moose
    • caribou
    • venison
  • fish:
    • steelhead trout
    • whitefish
    • cod
    • salmon
    • tuna
  • soybeans
  • beef
  • pork
  • lamb
  • chicken
Obviously, your list of protien food will grow much larger, but it always helps to have a starting point instead of staring at a blank page.

Another reason that listing out the high protien foods which you like works so well actually has nothing to do with dietary health or nutrition, but rather is a result of increased brain power. Dr. Charles Winger of the Springfield Medical Academy has this to say: "By writing down a list of protien food that you personally enjoy consuming, you will have a better chance at remembering to buy these foods when you visit your local grocery store or health mart, and in turn they become a more significant part of your everyday life."
